How many services do you hold each week?

We hold four regular services. 

• Sunday morning 10.00 - 11.15
• Tuesday morning can be either 9.00-9.15 or 9.15-9.30 (details are given on you Diary Dates page)
• Thursday Communion service 10.00 - 10.30
• Friday evening prayer 4.00 - 4.30

In addition there may be other special services, around Christmas time for example. These will all be listed on our Diary Dates page

I would like to get married in your church. What do I need to do?

In order to qualify to get married at St. John the Evangelist Farnworth, you must either live in the parish, attend church regularly or have a valid connection with the church. Please go to this page to find out more and to contact Carol.

I've not been to a Church for a long time. What can I expect when I arrive on a Sunday morning?

The first people you are likely to meet as you walk through the doors will be the Sidespeople who will greet you and answer any questions you may have. They will also hand you the hymn book, order of service and pew sheet, which is a sheet which has the bible readings for that day, along with any notices of forthcoming events.
